What exactly is The Prosperity Project?

Initially, The Prosperity Project is a simple question and the conversation that follows it. What does prosperity mean? The answer depends on your vision of what the future holds. But ask that question of the two million people, hundreds of communities and thousands of businesses in southwestern Ontario and the answer could grow into something much more.

A collective vision

If we define a collective vision for our region, we can map out what it will take to get there. We can mobilize thinking and investments that will drive our economy and attract innovation to our communities. We can give families new tools that will help them manage their financial well-being. We can give our young people new reasons to raise their families and build their businesses here.

A catalyst for positive change

The Prosperity Project can be a catalyst for positive change in southwestern Ontario. It can be the social movement that makes life here a little better every year for everyone living here. But for now it’s just a question. Your responses will be posted on this website and a new definition of prosperity that is meaningful here will take shape.

Who’s invited to participate?

While The Prosperity Project was inspired by Libro Credit Union, it is not limited to people who bank at Libro. Anyone can join in – every business owner and employee, community leader, organization, family and individual in southwestern Ontario is invited. Frankly, the only criteria for participation is that you care about living here.

It’s a big, fast world out there. But it’s what we do here in southwestern Ontario that contributes most to local prosperity.
